Brief Profile
Sunil Kumar Sarangi is currently teaching Communication and Leadership at XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has an international (US) certification as a teacher/trainer and taught/trained for a number of enterprises. His area of teaching/training includes different aspects of leadership such as interpersonal effectiveness, motivation, influence, persuasion, customer-focus, communication. For five years now, he has been the Program Director of Basic Leadership Skills (BLS), the flagship Management Development Program of XLRI. He has over 20 years of corporate and academic experience. He holds a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature as a university gold medalist. His area of research/focus is leadership language, entrepreneurship, and neuro-communication. He has worked for Goldman Sachs , Oracle etc. At XLRI, he has designed and delivered/taught Management Development Programs [as Program Director] and as resource faculty for: senior IFS Officers, Allied Officers of Govt of India, Central Labour Commissioners. He has designed and taught the senior leadership of CANARA Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, TATA Metaliks, IndianOil, National Healthcare Nepal, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, Mahindra Comviva Technology, NABARD. He has designed and delivered a unique session on the patient-doctor communication framework to an audience of Neurologists, Neuro-psychiatrists and P.G. students of medical science.
He has designed and has been delivering two iconic programmes for TATA Steel [Foundations of Leadership] and NALCO [Leadership Gen-next].
This year, he has been inducted into the Governing Body of Jamshedpur Management Association. In Sept 2022, he was invited to speak to the Governing Board of State Bank of India (SBI) on Customer Experience Management (CXM) during its quarterly meeting.
