Academic Distinction (Awards and Scholarships)
Himadri has a research interest in exploring (consumer) lived experience and consumption phenomena. Dr. Roy Chaudhuri has been actively involved in research and teaching, the former being particularly important in his career plan. He has published many papers in peer-reviewed international journals of repute. As of date, his papers are being published/accepted in such reputed outlets as Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Homosexuality, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Macromarketing, Psychology & Marketing, Qualitative Marketing Research, etc. Recently he has published a co-edited book on Marketization, an evolving area of consumer research, with Prof. Russell Belk. Springer is the knowledge partner of this volume.He has also co-edited a special Issue on the COVID Pandemic for the Journal of Consumer Affairs and Crisis Communication for Consumption, Markets & Culture. His current research projects involve issues of marginalization, gender identity, rehumanization, and dirty work.
He has been recently offered the position of Senior Research Fellow ( Visiting) by the University of Illinois at Springfield.
