Brief Profile  

Farheen Fathima Shaik is an Assistant Professor in the HRM area at XLRI Jamshedpur. She completed her PhD at the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli. Post PhD, she worked as an L&D Consultant at Cyient Ltd and Zing HR.  Her PhD thesis work was focused on understanding employee engagement in global virtual teams. She holds an MBA (OB and HRM specialization) from Pragati Mahavidyalaya, Osmania University. She was a part of the faculty development program (HR specialization) at IIM Ahmedabad. She is a MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist): .NET Framework4. Her areas of research interest include the context of technology at work, new forms of working, future of work, digital and E-HRM, virtual organizations, virtual teams, their structure and culture, sociomateriality, surveillance in organizations, critical management theory and its implications for organizations. She has published research papers in journals of repute, and her research papers have been accepted at international and national conferences such as Academy of Management, EGOS, NAOP, and INDAM. She is an ad-hoc reviewer for several ABDC-A category journals and international conferences. She has been a guest editor for a special issue in Business Perspectives and Research Journal.
