Help to maintain a quiet atmosphere for study. Members shall not engage in conversation in any part of the Library so as to cause annoyance to any other reader
Books removed from the shelves should be left on the reading table only after reference.
Smoking in the Library is strictly prohibited.
Tearing off pages, marking/highlighting in pencil or ink on the books is a serious offence.
Students are not permitted to take tea or snacks etc.,
Users should keep their mobile phones in the SILENT mode
Sitting on the reading table is a serious offence
After reading, newspapers should be folded properly and kept in the designated display
The book chapters and articles from the newspapers, magazines, journals may be photocopied.
Personal folders, bags, books etc should be kept in the property counter provided at the entrance.
The 'Pass Out’ slip should be shown to the security at the Security Checkpoint before taking the issued books out of the Library.
The borrower shall be responsible for any damage or loss caused to the Library documents borrowed by him/her.
In case any library material is lost by student, the Head - Library should be immediately in formed in writing.
If the book cannot be traced within two weeks, the borrower will be asked to either replace or to pay double the cost of the book including fine
If the book forms a part of a series. the borrower will be charged for the replacement of the entire set
Books or any other reading materials should not be taken out of the library without the permission of the library staff.
If any student is found taking any reading material without issuing or without consent of the staff, he/she may be asked a written explanation
Terminals provided at the Electronic Resources Centre should not be used for other computing and games activities.
While leaving the library, all books and other reading material would be checked at the Security Checkpoint.
The arrangement of chairs and tables in the reading room should not be disturbed.
Students wearing shorts, sleeveless, paijamas, night dresses etc. are not allowed.
Upon any infringement of the Library rules, members shall forfeit the privileges of admission and membership of the Library.
The Head – Library reserves the right to suspend the membership of any member found misbehaving, abusing the Library staff or behaving in an indecent manner.
