Chairman’s Message
Dear Friends,
It’s indeed a privilege for me to
be here in your midst at the 62
nd
Annual Convocation ceremony as the
Chairman of the Governing Board of
XLRI.
XLRI was established in 1949, soon
after India gained Independence, and
in a small way joined in spirit and
action the selfless patriots and great
leaders of India in helping build our
great nation. XLRI has continually
focused on training future business
leaders who can shape the destiny
of India with competence and
commitment. After six decades, XLRI
continues to uphold the same vision
– to train leaders who will excel in
competence, personal values and
social concern.
Jamshedpur is indeed very fortunate
to have such a progressive looking
management school. The value of
management education that XLRI
imparts to its students, speaks for
itself. It is not just the courses that
are offered here but the importance
that XL places on vital facets such
as ethical approach, values-driven
culture and integral character
formation of its students that sets
XLRI apart from other business
schools in the country.
To the Class of 2018: It is a very
gratifying moment for each of you
as you embark on your work-life
journey after receiving the fruits of
your toil here at XLRI. As you join the
remarkable network of XLRI alumni;
let the value education that has been
imparted to you in the preceding
two years be a guiding force to help
enable you to make this world more
sustainable and liveable for future
generations. I urge you to espouse
a professional and ethical attitude
in your work-life journey and try to
give back to the society to the extent
possible.
I wish each of you all the very best in
all your future endeavours.
T V Narendran
