            Gargi Banerji
          
        
        
          is a co-founder of Pragya, an NGO that carries out
        
        
          development projects to benefit marginalised and impoverished
        
        
          communities in some of the remote and difficult areas of Asia
        
        
          and Africa. Her career spans more than 25 years of experience in research, development and consulting
        
        
          period. She began her career in the corporate sector and has worked as a management consultant with
        
        
          Tata Consultancy Services, and thereafter running her own consulting firm Prometheus. In this role, she has
        
        
          consulted for several large industrial houses, including many multi-national corporations, and continues to
        
        
          carry out projects for the state and the development sector.
