Actor
Mohan Raman
is one of film and television’s popular character actors.
He has done over 120 films (in Tamil, English, Hindi and Telugu) and
5,000 TV serial episodes and has portrayed a wide range of roles.
He has also compered several stage shows both in India and overseas. He has also modeled in several TV
advertisements.
Drawing on his management education and his experience as a manager, an entrepreneur and an actor he uses film as
an effective medium for management training.
He uses the performances of famous actors from Hollywood, Bollywood and Kollywood (Tamil) to highlight various
management concepts and behavioural patterns. In his training sessions he combines games, role play and various other
techniques to make the whole process experiential, entertaining and educative.
His clients include national and multi-national banks, manufacturing companies, software industries, call centres and
many associations like CII¸ MMA and NIPM and State and Central Public Sector Undertakings. He also conducts sessions
in many management schools and engineering colleges.
Raman also conducts programmes both on site and off site in English, Tamil and partly in Hindi.
He is a popular speaker and has addressed several clubs and societies on various management and film related topics.
He regularly writes articles in leading newspapers and magazines and is a respected film historian.
His other interests include reading, music, cricket, philately and watching movies. He is an active member of Madras
Gymkhana Club, Madras Cricket Club and Rotary Club of Madras.
He is also a member of the South Indian Artistes Association and other professional bodies of the Film and TV Industry.
He has received several awards including the Tamil Nadu State Government Award for Best Character Actor.
