Kumar Ankit
has wide expertise in the field of social
entrepreneurship, social forestry, biofuels and rural development.
After receiving his degree from Jabalpur Engineering College, Ankit
started his own company, Green Leaf Energy Pvt. Ltd, under the guidance of XLRI Entrepreneurship
Development Centre.
Ankit has also started another company, GLE Food & Beverages, and has launched a fresh fruit juice kiosk
chain in Delhi NCR under the brand name Fruit Press. He regularly conducts workshops on social forestry
and MGNREGA for government officials.
Awards & Accolades:
• Won first prize in Bihar Innovation Forum, a World Bank event, among 491 social enterprises across India
• Invited to take-up a training session for IAS graduates at LBSNAA
• Recognition by the Rural Development Department, Government of Bihar in their first publication of annual
magazine Samriddhi in 2012
• Recognised as the youth icon of Bihar by Hindustan Dainik on International Youth Day in 2011.
