Madhavi Lall
heads Human Resource at
Deutsche Bank, India. Prior to Deutsche
Bank she has worked with leading national
and international companies in senior
leadership roles. Her stint with Accenture
was in the role of Managing Director – HR;
she held the position of Global Head –
Employee Relations at Standard Chartered
Bank. Ms Lall has also worked with other
companies like ABN Amro Bank, Colgate
Palmolive and HCL Hewlett- Packard.
Her key role has been to drive the long-
term HR strategy for the organisations
she has worked with. Her experience
spans across all the verticals of HR
— employee relations, employee
engagement, managerial and leadership
development, strategy, talent acquisition,
personnel management, strategic
HR, risk management, organisational
development, HR policies, recruitment,
performance management, HR consulting,
employer branding, job evaluation,
financial risk, workforce planning.

She completed her MBA in HR from XLRI
Jamshedpur in 1991 after acquiring a
Master’s degree in Mathematics from St.
Stephen’s College. She has also completed
a leadership management course from the
University of Oxford.
She was conferred the Women Leadership
Award by the jury and Council of Board
Members of the Institute of Public
Enterprises-BFSI in 2010. She was awarded
the GNOSIS Excellence Award in 2016 by
the Finance Association at XLRI (FINAX)
for recognition of her contribution to
BFSI sector and XLRI brand over the years.
She is also a founding member of the HR
Committee for FICCI.
Ms Lall is passionate about creating
diversity and inclusion at the workplace
through policy and practice. She is
also strongly committed to creating
impact through targeted initiatives. On a
voluntary basis, she has delivered sessions
for students at IIMA, IIML and XLRI.
