How is the Outbound Programme
helpful in team building?
The activities of the outbound
programme had the dual purpose
of adventure and team-building.
The activities included obstacle
race, rafting and cave crawling,
that required careful coordination
amongst team members. It taught us
how important it is to involve every
member of the team, for overall suc-
cess. The programme was an amazing learning experience, as it
teaches the concepts of management in a very practical manner.
Students get a first-hand experience at team building.

How does the Outbound Programme
help in encouraging leadership skills?
“Before you are a leader, success is
all about growing yourself. When you
become a leader, success is all about
growing others.” --- Jack Welch. This
is what I learnt in the TSAF Outbound
Programme.
The Outbound Programme helped
me realise that leadership is action and
not position. I learnt to be solution
focused and not problem focused. The
programme also helped us realise that
true leaders don’t create followers, they
create more leaders. I would like to
thank XLRI and TSAF for providing this
wonderful opportunity.

Lessons learnt in the
Outbound Programme.
The Outbound Programme has
impacted me in many ways. I
have learnt that communica-
tion along with co-operation
is the key to success. This
programme helped me and
my classmates acknowledge
the fact that teamwork means
never having to take all the
blame on oneself.
This programme has
instilled in us the essential
skills of participating, sharing,
listening, helping, respecting,
persuading and questioning.
