T
HE MARKETING
Association of
XLRI organised MAXI bazaar,
the first marketing event of the
new academic year, for junior and sen-
ior students. The event proved to be a
fun ice-breaker round for all the newly
joined first year students.
The rules of the game were simple:
contestants had to design a product and
then market it. The challenge was to
complete the task in 24 hours.

MAXI Bazaar
The junior students were divided
into 10 teams and each team had a
dozen senior students as guides. Begin-
ning with brainstorming sessions for
ideas, the teams designed taglines,
slogans and posters for their respective
products. Another fun-filled element
of MAXI Bazaar was to compete for
the best location to paste advertisement
posters.
Testimony to student enthusiasm
was Facebook and Twitter handles
that were created in no time along
with videos and e-posters to promote
the products. The competition was
adjudged by marketing professor Dr.
Sanjeev Varshney.
The event ended with students mak-
ing new friends in the process of learn-
ing practical marketing lessons.
