Dear Friends,
A warm welcome to all XLers who have come for Alumni Homecoming 2014.
The preceding year has been an eventful one. The batch sizes for the two-year full-
time programmes have increased and in this academic year we have 360 students
for the BM and HRM programmes. The two-year Global MBA Programme that we
launched in August 2013 has been very well received. The fellow programme has
also seen a steep increase in enrolment this year.
The new adjoining campus is spread across 7 acres and houses a new learning
center, an international center and hostel facilities. The new learning centre has
26 state-of-the-art classrooms, while the six-floor International Centre boasts of
96 well-furnished rooms and eight suites. We have strived to offer world-class
infrastructure to the extent possible.
We are also in the process of setting up the XLRI Delhi Campus in Jhajjhar (Haryana).
We envision that the new campus in Delhi will attract students and executives
from India and abroad for our existing and proposed new management-centric
programmes.
In 2013 and 2014 XLRI has steadfastly upheld its standing as the best private
B-School in India. XLRI has also been ranked among the top three business schools
in the country across all major B-School rankings. In November 2013, XLRI received
the AICTE-CII Award for the Best Industry-Linked Institute in Management in the
country.
Our student community has equally done us proud with their accomplishments.
Team XLRI won season 3 of Deloitte Maverick— an industry-academia connect
programme by Deloitte. XLRI CII Yi Net Team was adjudged best in India in 2013.
I attribute our achievements to the dedicated and committed faculty and staff that
XLRI has been blessed with over the decades.
I also want to place on record our heartfelt pride when we read about the
accomplishments of XLers across various industry and service sectors both in India
and abroad.
