Bushen Raina
has worked with Tata Steel and its associate companies
in a career that has spanned over four decades. He was the managing
director of Tinplate Company of India Ltd (TCIL) from 1997-2009,
a period when the company was facing down fall. Raina played a
significant role in the turnaround of the loss-making company into a
market leader for tinplate products in India and West and South-East
Asia.
In his role as director, International Trade for Tata Steel, Raina was credited
with establishing its international steel trading business and pioneering
inroads into Europe, Asia and the United States.
A passionate advocate of corporate sustainability and total quality
management, Raina has served on several boards and is a visiting faculty at
XLRI and XIMB.
