| SILVER JUBLEE

N
othing excites alumni more than a
saunter down the memory lane of
their alma mater.
Silver jubilee reunion of the 1988 batch,
organised by XLRI, was an embodiment
of this emotion. Around 60 alumni, some
along with their family members, attended
the event. It was a positive and enthusiastic
gathering at the campus.
The garlanding and cake cutting ceremo-
ny was arranged for alumni in the morning.
The 1988 batch interacted with students at
their general body meeting and enjoyed the
canteen food. A friendly basketball match
with students and faculty was played with
exhilarated spirit.
Measuring cherished memories from
football ground to JLT lawn, the batch
mates relished on brunches of nostalgia.
The day progressed into an evening of
festivity with XLRI band striking tunes that
past and present batches could associate
themselves with. XL hits like
XL ki Kudi-
yan
and
XL meri Jaan
were sung by alumni
and students with high notes of excitement.
Bringing the day to an end the singing
session was followed by a networking
dinner.
Down memory lane ...
