the Jamshedpur
chapter of XLRI Alumni Asso-
ciation step forward to help stu-
dents from weaker sections of the society.
The association will offer financial sup-
port to MBA aspirants who are meritorious
but poor. They will start offering scholar-
ships from 2014 academic session to four
deserving students to fund their education
at XLRI.

Association Rana Sinha, MD of the Tata
Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Ltd,
informed that the association plans to
increase its endowment fund of Rs 3 crore
to Rs 500 crore. He also expressed the urge
to chalk out a number of other scholarship
schemes, but added that it would be pos-

The Jamshedpur chapter of XLRI Alum-
ni Association has a base of nearly 1,000
former students from different batches and
the objective of the meet was to strengthen
the bonding of the alumni with its Alma
Mater and to espouse socially relevant
projects in future.
