for cricket is anything to
go by then a huge gathering of students
for a 2 am match is not an unimagina-
ble possibility. The event CricBlitz, like all
its previous editions, was a big hit this year
as well. Students of all batches and courses,
including the first and second year GMP
students, gathered to cheer the 32 teams

This is a surrogate marketing
event wherein teams have to
market a product or a social
cause masked under a dif-

participants brought a fresh
view of surrogate marketing,
using humour and serious-

prize this year, with one of the

was when a female player was bowling or
batting the opponent male player batting or
bowling had to do so with his wrong hand.
Adding spice to the game, the change made
some female players the maximum wicket
takers as well as run scorers.
Awards were given for best sledging,
best team name as well as best dressed
teams. Teams used all their creativity to
win prizes in these categories. If some team
members were decked in Indian attire then
the other was dressed in suite thus bringing
flavour to the pitch and to the game.
