The 13th edition of the highly-regarded
business meet saw 1,500 teams participate
from top B-schools. Tata Administrative
Services Next Gen Leader, the big-ticket
event this year, had competitions designed
to identify individuals with potential to
become effective leaders.

display of creativ-
ity matched with competitive
spirit marked the extravaganza
that Ensemble is.
The highly-regarded annual business
meet of XLRI, Jamshedpur, is the melting
pot of industry leaders, prominent thinkers
and the academia. The three-day event was
inaugurated by president of Tata Steel’s
TQM and Steel Business, Anand Sen, on
November 15. Injecting enthusiasm into
the festival was the theme Ideate Radically,
Grow Sustainably. The big ticket event this
year was Tata Administrative Services
Next Gen Leader with prize money of
Rs 1 lakh. The competition was designed to
test the mental strength and character
of the participants so as to identify indi-
viduals with potential to become effective
leaders.
Around 1,500 teams from top B-schools
such as IIM-A, IIM-L, IIM-B, IIM-I,
SPJAIN, IMT, MDI, XIMB and IIM-S
participated in the event. Ensemble creat-
ing new benchmarks designed innovative
formats including online quizzes, case stud-
ies, simulations as well as implementation
of strategies in real-life market situations.
Along with management competitions, the
event also provided a platform for interac-
tion between students and business leaders
through the Idea Summit. The event fosters
discussions on important business issues.
The pre-placement interviews organ-
ised for the first time added flavour to the
Ensemble energy. On an experimental
basis, three big corporate houses — Tata
Administrative Services, Airtel and Aditya
Birla Group — partnered with the organis-
ers to conduct PPI of the students who were
the overall winners of various mind sports
at the festival. The team from host XLRI
bagged the PPI, along with SIBM Pune,
after winning Strike or Yield, which is the
