A
seminar on Trans-
formational Leadership
for Jesuit Superiors and
Directors of Work was organ-
ised by XLRI in collaboration
with XIMB.
The aim of the program was
to unfold the latent leadership
potential. Everyone is a leader
and leadership is inherently
connected with inner strength
than with any formal
position of authority. The mo-
ment we dare to unleash the
hidden creative power within
us, we flower as leaders effort-
lessly.
The program, specifically
designed for the Jesuits who are
superiors or potential superiors,
comprised individual and group
exercises, case discussion and
role plays, self-evaluation and
instant feedback and learning
by doing exercises.
The six-day long event was
led by XLRI, Director, Fr E
Abraham, SJ, along with Fr
Ozzie Mascarenhas, SJ,
Fr James Santhanam, SJ,
Fr Nelson D’Silva, SJ,
Fr Peter Francis, SJ, Fr RC
Chacko, SJ, Fr S George, SJ,
Prof. ISF Irudayaraj and
Prof. MG Jomon.

B
loomberg training
session on its software for
accessing financial data of com-
panies was conducted for stu-
dents and faculty at XLRI. The
session was taken by PL Kartik,
an executive from Bloomberg
PLC Mumbai.
The software is expected
to help students specialising
in finance and economics, as
it provides access to real time
data of all asset classes and of
companies. Prof HK Pradhan,
who coordinates the activi-
ties associated with the global
information vendor, informed
that hands-on experience of
using the Bloomberg terminal
was also conducted during
classroom sessions where stu-
dents are exposed to valuation
of live financial instruments.
Bloomberg is a global infor-
mation vendor subscribed by
the institute.
