Counselling Young Guns
A
N INFORMAL
counselling ses-
sion for a group of students and
faculty from the Buddha Academy
School, Mango, was organised by SIGMA
members in February. The session was or-
ganised as a joint initiative between the stu-
dent society members and Krishna Behera,
Founder and Director, Buddha Academy.
The session covered a wide array of
topics ranging from growing inclination
towards management education to compet-
ing in the corporate world. SIGMA hosts
many such collaborative initiatives to offer
guidance and support to young
students.

S
IGMAMEMBERS
requested the
outgoing students to donate their old
books and unused stationary for the needy
children. Their request met an overwhelm-
ing response. Goods and accesso-
ries, ranging from old books,
stationary items and clothes
to desks, mattresses and
chairs were donated for
the benefit of the under-
privileged. To ensure
that these items reached
the right people SIGMA
members roped in NGOs in
and around Jamshedpur. The
collected text books, case handouts and
notes of seniors will be auctioned for the
current batch before the beginning of new
session. This would cater to those students
who may have been interested
in a certain elective but were unable
to take it.
