RACULA, THE
dra-
matics society of XLRI,
staged
Court Martial
at its
flagship event Annual Public Pro-
duction in February. As a tradition
the event is organised every year
for the graduating batch and is also
open to faculty and the residents of
Jamshedpur.
The Hindi play, written and
published by Swadesh Deepak in
1991, is based on the evils of caste
discrimination in the Indian Army
during that time. The play dealt
with virtues of right and wrong,
upper class and lower class and
whether self-defence is really a
crime.
The cast, which comprised stu-
dents from both senior as well as
junior batch, successfully captured
the essence of army discipline and
the emotions revolving around
such sensitive issue to put up an
endearing performance.

Prizes worth Rs 20,000 were given out to
the year-long winners of the league.
At the grand quiz, Bollywood ka
Badhsah, participants were grilled on their
Bollywood knowledge. Many who took
pride in their knowledge of the celluloid
