CRISP: Campus Recruitment

Information System Portal

CRISP is primarily a placement support committee

that deals with the complete process of preparing

students for their placement process, be it the summer

internship process for first-year students or the lateral

and final placement processes for second-year students.

Placement preparation covers multiple aspects such as

helping students prepare their CVs, providing relevant

support in terms of academic and soft skills-based

content, arranging mock group discussions, mock

interviews, academic preparatory sessions through

professional consultants and professors alike. One of

the most rigorous jobs on campus, CRISP is responsible

for ensuring the authenticity of information being

presented to recruiters through the CVs of students

and in this respect, it follows a meticulous verification

process through its well-knit network of verifiers.

For CRISP, the academic year and the responsibilities

begin even before students step on campus as

it coordinates with External Linkages to inform

incoming students about the documents needed

for placement. Apart from answering the numerous

queries which arise, CRISP ensures that students are

equipped before-hand with all the necessary proofs

and documents required for approval of points to

be put on the CV. Once on campus, CRISP performs

a thorough verification exercise for all the students’

basic details. These details are maintained in a

database that is corroborated with the administration.

As an exercise to increase interaction with the juniors,

CRISP maps juniors to specific seniors who act as

verifiers and aid CRISP with the verification exercise.

CRISP

CV-making is initiated and each CRISP member is

personally responsible for ensuring that students put

the best version of themselves on their CVs and that

their CVs reflect their skills optimally. The process of

CV-making and verification is run on a digital platform

called REVAMP. Simultaneously, CRISP arranges

academic sessions by senior students for the junior

batch. Seniors share their internship experiences and

assist the juniors in role-specific or domain-specific

preparation. CRISP also prepares comprehensive

company and sector reports for reference. These are

augmented with company-wise interview-experiences of

previous placement processes, shared by students.

Following the summer-internship process, CRISP

ensures that a record of their experiences is collected

for future preparation purposes. CRISP then begins

preparing for the lateral and final placement processes

for second-year students. Apart from carrying out the

CV verification exercise, CRISP arranges intensive mock

GDs and interviews by experts from the industry as well

as experienced trainers. It also ropes in professors for

academic sessions. All these initiatives involve providing

a thorough feedback to students which helps them

in improving their performance. Apart from preparing

company and sector reports, CRISP also coordinates

with ORACLE, the in-house preparation support forum

which publishes news editions aiding the students in

remaining aware about current affairs.

Post the final placements process, CRISP, once again

ensures that feedback from the students regarding their

interview experiences is collected and maintained in

a database. CRISP is thus engaged in the placement

process throughout the year and is known for

performing its responsibilities with a consistently high

amount of efficiency and integrity.
