2 hats - ice breaker
The ice breaker for juniors named “2
hats” was organized in July. It involved
participants forming a group of 2, and
speaking about a topic, one from the
emotional perspective and other from
the logical perspective. The event
drew a large crowd from the junior
batch and active participation was
witnessed.
Once upon a time
Once upon a time is Toastmasters
XLRI’s flagship event whose first
edition was conducted during
this year’s Ensemble Valhalla. The
participants formed groups of 3 and
were supposed to complete a story.
Each team would pick up the story
from where the previous team left off.
The excitement among participants
was very much visible and the event
saw a huge footfall. Father Peter was
the judge of the event whose next
edition will return during the coming
Ensemble Valhalla.
Roll Play
“Roll Play” was an event conducted
by Toastmasters on the sidelines of
Ensemble-Valhalla. The contest was
an open challenge for every attendee
of the fest to take the mic and speak
impromptu. Participants had to roll
a dice and an activity was allocated
to them based on the number their
dice paused at. Tongue twisters, funny
speeches and a lot of fun ensued
making the event a crowd-puller.
Speakathon
In the event tell their life story,
learnings, and philosophy in less than
6 minutes. Out of many applicants,
8 were selected for the final round
where they gave inspiring and heart
melting speeches about how they
evolved as a person. The winner was
chosen based on content, fluency, and
impact on the audience.
