SPICMACAY, XLRI Chapter waved in a vibrant year beginning with Saarang, the official ice-breaker for the junior batch of

2017 -2019. The event started with the Indian Culture quiz, which not only kept the quizzing circle in the campus awed,

but also served the committee’s noble cause of promoting Indian Arts and Culture in a fun and interesting way to the

youth. The rounds that followed reinstated that the tunes of Pandit Ravishankar’s Yaman Kalyan and the beats of Zakir

Hussain struck a chord in even the hardest fans of Eminem and Pink Floyd. The night was packed with interesting trivia,

role-plays, laughter and respect for Indian Arts and Culture.

With Saarang being a great success, applications flooded in from the newcomers to join the revered committee,
